I drove to Cleveland, Ohio to get together with Brooke and her family. She lives in Texas and it was a chance to see her without going so far. I only get to see them a couple of times a year.
Here are my grandchildren. Rory age 6 and Spencer age 4. We went for a walk in the park.
On the drive to the park we saw this man looking for a job as a plumber. He
was holding a huge orange cardboard pipewrench in his hand.
We went to the Cleveland Zoo. Here Brooke and the kids are finding out how
kangaroos hear with their ears.
The zoo has a place to visit australia and there we met this camel with it's
lovely long lashes but it's not so lovely teeth.
Rory and Spencer climbed aboard the very tall camel for a ride. They really enjoyed it.
When the kids walked up to the window to see this guy he kept slapping
the glass at them. It was pretty funny.
These two anteaters were large and colorful. They were interesting.
Nights we were really close while sharing a hotel room. But it was nice to see each other.
Bedtime stories were cute and remind me of when my kids were small. It was a nice visit.
We went for a nature walk in a field of flowers. The kids weren't too happy about it but it was a chance to burn up some of their energy.
